I have been busy organizing my items in my new shop on Etsy.

This is a really interesting process and just taking the time to look at other shops and read about them is really rewarding.
There is so much talent and creativity in the world that it blows me away at times.
I am going to create a short tutorial on the sun painting that I do as it is a fantastic way to create an unique piece of fabric that can then be used in a variety of ways.
I am also trying to organize the hand dyed fabric that I have done and put up on the shop.
Next it will be to take photos of recently finished quilts also for sale.
i have lived in Kakadu for 10 years and am planning to move back down to South Australia at the end of the year. This means sorting out the accumulation of craft items to make this journey a little easier.
I will be placing many of these up for sale in my shop so this means more organizing and more photos.
I will add more photos here of the wonderful surroundings and the great inspiration that I get out of my backyard.
I am creating hand dyed fabric, sun painted fabric, items created from these as well as traditional quilts - machine pieced and quilted by me. View these items here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/morethanjustquilts You can also contact me here: beverleyadamsquilts@gmail.com

This is a very slow process - finding your way around the blog as well as trying to establish an ETSY shop account. I want to get a facebook account to try and put myself out there as well in that huge domains. My grandson has suggested to me that if I make a You Tube Video and link all that together this may be useful. I am 61 years old and do not like being photographed, how will I take to being filmed and placed up there on the World Wide Web?
I have opened my ETSY store and have placed 3 items for sale - this weekend I will add more and try to make sure I have the correct key words associated. This has been a huge learning curve for me but one that I am really enjoying.

Back again to add photos of my creative afternoon. This is a sun painted creation that I first started as a dyed piece of fabric in blue. I decided that it would be good as an underwater scene that could have fish appliqued on the top. It measures 31 inches across by 34 inches in depth. It could also be used as a water scene of some description. These pieces are for sale - am in the process of setting up an Etsy shop. Contact me directly if you are interested in purchasing or check my blog to keep updated with the developments of the online shop.

Still learning my way around the 'blog'.
Today I have been productive and have been sun painting. It is such a great way to get the creative juices flowing. I am caught with wanting to create traditional quilted pieces and others not so.
I will post some photos of my latest creations so you can see what it is I have been up to.

The FIRST Post as opposed to the LAST Post
This is a giant step for me, as I am unsure about putting myself out there. This is the same for the quilting journey that I have been on. It started back in early 1982 when I was pregnant with my second child - that quilt is waiting to be finished. You may ask - what sort of quilt was that and I will reply and say the 'grandmothers flower garden'. This child turns 30 in October and I have decided to try and complete this quilt for her birthday. My journey has seen me travel across half of Australia and be a member of many Quilt Guilds but at present do not belong to any.
I have gone from a very traditional quilter who made quilts based on other people's designs to being a little bit creative. I love to reproduce the designs that take my fancy but at present am venturing out there into a whole new world. I would like to thank all the new and young upcoming quilters for giving me the freedom to fly. The internet has certainly provided me with the opportunity to explore and learn - I live in a fairly isolated place and need the resources that are provided to me.
If you are reading this at a later date I hope you will follow my journey - one that I hope will take me to a new chapter in my life.
May the threads be with you!
